Gods, Meteorites and Coins.

During Classical Antiquity, comets and meteorites were considered as phenomena caused by the gods, sometimes as positive omens, and sometimes as an announcement of calamities. On the other hand, some meteorites fallen from the sky were interpreted as symbols of the gods, and venerated in temples represented in some Greek and Roman coins.

On the other hand, during the 21st century, coins that have a small fragment of meteorite embedded have been issued in many countries, or some have even been manufactured, using the material of the meteorite itself as blanks.

All of these coins, both ancient and modern, are studied and discussed in this book.
